Onset vs Olvy

Olvy pairs a changelog with AI feedback analysis, and prices it in parts: a base plan, $25 for each extra seat, and on their entry plan $20 a month for every integration you switch on. Onset bundles the lot into one flat price.

Emailing your changelog needs their $240 plan

Olvy lists email subscriptions for the changelog as a Business feature. Their $60 Essentials plan publishes a page and a widget but will not mail your list. Onset emails 1,000 subscribers on the free plan and 10,000 on the $30 Team plan.

Seats and integrations are billed separately

Olvy Essentials includes one builder and charges $25 a month for each additional, plus $20 a month for every integration. A team of three wanting Slack and GitHub pays $60 plus $50 plus $40. Onset includes five seats and every integration on the $30 Team plan.

They have AI feedback analysis, we do not

Olvy’s pitch is summarising and analysing user feedback, capped by plan at 25, 100 and 10,000 items. Onset has nothing equivalent. If feedback analysis is what you are shopping for, that is a real reason to pick them.

How this is calculated

These figures are for one changelog site. Olvy bills per workspace and Onset per workspace, so the units line up.

Olvy calls a team member a “builder”. Essentials includes one and Business five, with each additional at $25 a month on both. The calculator adds those up as you change the team size.

On Essentials, Olvy charges $20 a month per integration. The integrations toggle above models two of them, at $40 a month, and disappears into the base price on Business where integrations are unlimited.

Olvy lists email subscriptions for the changelog under the Business plan, so switching on email moves them to $240. Their free plan is also capped at 1,000 unique visitors a month, which the monthly-visitor figure is not modelled against here.

Their Enterprise plan is priced on request and is not modelled.

Both columns show list prices billed monthly. Olvy pricing last checked August 12, 2026.

What is a “builder” on Olvy?

A team member who can write and publish. Essentials includes one and Business five, and each extra costs $25 a month on either plan. Onset includes one on Free, five on Team at $30 and unlimited on Business at $60, with no per-seat charge.

Can Olvy email my changelog to subscribers?

Their pricing lists email subscriptions for the changelog under the Business plan at $240 a month. Onset emails 1,000 subscribers on the free plan, 10,000 on Team and unlimited on Business.

Should I pick Olvy instead?

If you want AI summarisation and analysis of user feedback alongside your changelog, Olvy does that and Onset does not. If you want to publish releases and email the people who care, Onset covers it for a fraction of the price.

Is this pricing current?

Olvy figures come from their public pricing page and are re-checked periodically. Vendors change prices, so treat the calculator as an estimate and confirm on their site before you decide.
